Can I use my Toybox as a normal 3D printer?

Absolutely! Toybox allows you to import models from the internet or even make your own creations in our Creator Space. You can import models in STL, OBJ, and gCode formats.

Hello, I just got my toybox and it works great with all the toys in the toybox collection, but when I try to print something I downloaded, it lifts up and is stringy...and eventually moves of off the plate. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I'm using a slicer program and it asks what flavor of gcode:

What should we choose for the Toybox? Thanks!

When I use Slic3r (which I believe is what you are using based on the screenshot), I choose Marlin--the first option. I do have to then manually go in and tweak the printer settings a bit to match those of the Toybox printer.

Jennifer de jesus, I've printed a lot of downloaded STL files on my ToyBox, as well as a bunch of custom projects now that I've made on https://www.tinkercad.com/ and exported from there. I have two thoughts:

    1. Many STL files downloaded elsewhere are poorly made. They may have bad designs, gaps in the designs, and bad meshes. Importing them into https://www.tinkercad.com/ and exporting them again as STLs *may* fix some of the mesh problems. Otherwise, try a different STL file altogether or make it from scratch in TinkerCad.
    2. Be sure to shrink your imported file appropriately to the size of the print volume when you import it. Leave about 5mm all around the edges to prevent hitting the end-stops during printing. The boxes around the imported object will be all white, not red, on the ToyBox website when you've imported an object and shrunk it adequately. See my answer here (https://3dprinting.stackexchange.com/questions/18468/non-manifold-stl-file-wont-print-properly-on-my-toybox-3d-printer/18535#18535) for my experience describing some of these problems, as well as describing the true print volume of the ToyBox printer.

ToyBox, please post what Cura slicer settings you use for the printer, nozzle, and print. I'd like to start with them as a baseline as I do my own slicing to improve quality.
