First check to make sure the nozzle isn't scraping the print bed. If the nozzle is scraping the print bed, and there isn't any space for the filament to come out, then the nozzle is likely calibrated too close to the print bed. Check out this article here for next steps.
If calibration isn't an issue, check the food to make sure it forms a nice smooth arc from spool to printer head. The food should not be touching or catching on the metal frame at all. Also try another color just to make sure it's not a bad roll.
Then, try cutting the end of the filament at an angle with some scissors to make sure there are no kinks in the filament at the start (a thicker end can sometimes prevent the extruder from catching the food). Press 'food' on the printer and wait for it to heat up. Then press 'insert' while simultaneously applying a fair amount of pressure to ensure the extruder is gripping the newly cut filament (the clicking noise is from the gear not catching the food). Once you see it moving into the nozzle, you can let go and press 'insert' until you see the color running out of the nozzle.
If you press 'food' and then 'insert' while simultaneously pushing the filament into the nozzle and nothing is coming out, and it's still making a clicking noise, there may be some food stuck inside the nozzle. You can click here for instructions on how to fix it.
