I can connect to the TOYBOX network, but I can’t find my preferred WiFi network in the blue/green pop up

If you're not seeing your home/preferred WiFi network on the list of available networks the blue/green captive portal, try these steps below.

  1. If you haven't already, click "refresh" in the top right of the blue/green pop up.
  2. Try connecting using a different device (a different phone, tablet, or computer than you're already using).
  3. Try closing out the blue/green screen and double check your home WiFi is showing in your device's network drop down list. Then unplug the printer and plug it back in and try connecting again.
  4. Double check the printer is within 20 feet with a direct line of sight to the router.
  5. Your network must be on a 2.4 GHz frequency. If you have a 5 GHz network, double check you're attempting to connect to the 2.4 GHz.
*If you have a dual-band router, it may help to isolate the 2.4GHz frequency, as any interference from a 5GHz frequency may impact the printer's ability to connect to your network
  6. Make sure your WiFi router does not have a static IP address (by default, your router will not have this setting.
  7. Try connecting to a mobile hotspot. If you're able to connect using your data hotspot but not your home network, then there may be a compromised interaction between the printer and the home network.

Please reach out to us at support@toybox.com if you're unable to connect!
