How do I factory reset my printer?

Unplug your Toybox from behind the printer and plug it back in. While the screen is either blinking (newer models) or booting (older models), press the corners in the order shown below (top left - top right - bottom right - bottom left).

The blinking and booting screens only last for a few seconds, so you must act fast. For the newer Toybox models, a red circle will appear if the corner was pressed correctly. Apply a fair amount of pressure, and be sure to press into each corner.

A menu will appear. Select "reset." After this, your printer will factory reset and eventually end on the screen telling you to go to a URL. You’ll then need to reconnect your printer to a network.

Having trouble? Double check the following steps.

  1. It’s possible that not enough pressure was applied. Tapping the corner will not work, you must apply pressure into the LCD screen to activate the red circle.
  2. Make sure the pressure was applied into the corner. If pressure is applied outside of the corner, even by a little bit, the red circle will not appear.
  3. Press the corners in the correct order. Begin with the top left corner and go clockwise. Do not press all corners at once. Any other order won’t work.
  4. Only press the screen while it’s blinking. Tapping the loading screen will not work. As soon as the screen blinks, you can begin to press the top left corner. If you miss the blinking screen, start over by unplugging the printer. Unplugging from behind the printer vs the outlet will usually allow for quicker access to the blinking screen.
