How do I do a security fix?

If your printer didn't have an issue connecting to a network previously, but is now having connection issues, you may have to do a security fix. Follow the instructions below or click here for video instructions.

1. Open the app from your phone (it won't work on a browser) and go under ‘printer settings’ and select ‘security fix.’ A screen will appear saying ‘Let’s make sure your Toybox is up to date.’ Then select ‘I’m ready.’

2. Next we want the screen on the Toybox to say ´www.make.toys/welcome.´ If your screen doesn't say this, select ´settings´, ´WiFi´ and then press the check mark.

3. Exit out of the app and go into ‘settings’ on your device. You'll see a list of networks available. Select the Toybox network. It will take you to a blue/green page with a list of WiFi networks.

4. Instead of selecting a WiFi network, press ‘cancel’ and then ‘use without internet.’ You may have to repeat this step a few times if you don't get the option the first time. If it's still not working, you can forget the network and try again.

5. Go back to the Toybox app and you should see a new screen to input a code. If it doesn’t show a screen to input a code, then you are all set and don’t need to do anything else. If you do see the option to input a code, use the code being displayed on the Toybox LCD screen into this box and click submit.
